Self-filtering for WiFi and mobile devices. Unlike an annual Circle subscription, a lifetime license provides continuous coverage for the whole family with no annual fees. It's worth it if you plan to use your Circle for more than 2-3 years. Setup is very simple and allows you to filter content and age for each MAC address connected to your WiFi. For mobile devices, Circle uses a VPN to further track usage of content through that device. The only downside is that it tracks the device address, not a specific account, so it's not very suitable for kids using the same devices or computer. Otherwise, it simply connects to the network with its gigabit connection and filters content by IP address. Time limits such as sleep time and total screen time can be activated for each profile. History tracking as well as location tracking are also features. You have the option to pause specific devices or the entire internet from your mobile interface. Having tried many other content filters for kids, Circle is very effective and simple, and well worth using for our family of four.
