Toxic Fumes for Party Favors

Bought this for my 8 year old nephew as he loves aliens and sensory toys but I couldn't give this to him. The product arrived quickly and on time, but the chemical smell is too strong. I soaked them in soap and some vinegar for about 3 hours but the chemical smell was still strong. I aired them out for over a week and the smell was still there. Unfortunately, whatever chemical is used is too conspicuous in my opinion, definitely not recommended for a child of any age due to the toxic fumes.
