Update to my original rating: Product no longer works after just a few weeks. It was very strong at first, then after about a week it became less strong, but still worked. With each use it became less and less effective. Now, just a few weeks later, it no longer works! Fresh batteries did nothing. (My first review: I was amazed at the power of this small desktop vacuum. I bought it to use as a crumb catcher on my kitchen counter after eating or preparing food. It picks up both large and small crumbs easily and quickly I don't want to connect anything (e.g. a charger) and I expect the two AA batteries required will last a very long time. My last desktop vacuum was much larger and ran out of charge even when the vacuum was in the was idling and had to be charged frequently.)
