I stumbled on this bag after perusing through Rambling Redhead Jen Todryck's Revain page. I had been looking at backpack purses for a while, and this version took care of all of my concerns with other backpack purses. The anti-theft aspect works really well. I can still reach my wallet very easily when checking out a store. The straps are comfortable and look like they will hold up well. Others I looked at in stores had very stiff straps that didn't look comfortable. There are enough outside pockets to take care of my needs for things I need organized and easily reached. The hardware on the bag is beautiful and feels pretty sturdy. The length of the "purse" strap is a nice one for using it as purse, rather than backpack. The stitching and use of leather to a dress up the nylon straps is also well done. I purchased in the brown leather. I did not note any strong odors other than the newness of the bag. I am very pleased with this purchase.
