I've had a lot of additions to our headlights. We needed new lights for our house as our old icicle lights were over 20 years old and worked on windy days. I wanted to find lanterns that no one else had, because honestly, who doesn't have icicle lanterns anymore. I love that you can choose the setting of how you want your lights to appear, I love that the cables are clean, I love that the connectors are screwed together and not regular plugs, I love that that I found an icicle-free kit to match (and return to the same settings) so I can decorate doors, trees, etc. We kept our settings and slowly transitioned from a few colors to white. My two criticisms of these lights: I wish you could string more strands together instead of just 3, and they had a bit more weight for the icicles to keep from exploding into the gutter on those cold, windy winter days.
