It's good " for covers

I like this product but the instructions are not clear. When serving, these straps were attached to the lid which I had no idea how to use. In the instructions for those belts didn't say anything either so I just covered the car and just left it there, it's stuck to the hood so hopefully it won't blow away in the wind but it's still good.
