Pros: 1. The colors are very vivid. Probably one of the few travel toys available online.3. Has most of the shapes and related items you would want to teach your lo4. The depth of the backpack didn't really bother me. Sure, a deeper pocket would make sense, but I'll put it on the table and let my 17-month-old play with it. Cons: 1. Shapes tend to fall out of the bag if you go with the bag and aren't alert2. The toy is not very interesting. I had to keep getting my son to do it. He got tired of the toy after 5 minutes3. Imperfections in size, like the shape of a star, can be pushed through a square or circle, which is wrong training for the child. I expect the semicircle to be replaced with a basic shape like a rectangle. Due to the lack of good travel toys other than maps, I would keep this one for days and see how my Lo reacts to it.
