Like many of the reviewers, I have been using potassium nitrate toothpastes like Sensodyne for years with very little or no relief. Then I heard about arginine and calcium carbonate toothpastes, which clog tiny pores in our teeth and help prevent pain. The problem was finding them in the US. I ordered it from England and have had good success with this type of toothpaste. Now Toms of Maine offers the same product here so I decided to give it a try. I contacted the company to see how much arginine they had to see how it compared to my other brand. Like the other brand, Toms of Maine Rapid Relief contains 8% arginine. I've been using Toms for about a month now and am getting good results. The taste is very fresh and I like it. It's a little chalkier than regular toothpaste, but I can live with that. With this type of toothpaste, I can rub my teeth with my finger a little for quick relief, but I don't feel any pain with regular use. I would definitely recommend this toothpaste to anyone who has sensitive teeth.
