Bought this one size up for my almost 2 year old. We have a pair of shoes but they are all incredibly difficult to put on because he has chubby little fat feet. His favorite shoes are velcro sandals like these, but they look very casual. I was looking for something a little more stylish, upscale and these fit perfectly. The leather and stitching look very expensive and the velcro is strong and sturdy. We've had a lot of shoes where the velcro has worn off so this is very important. Cushioned midsoles add cushioning, while lugged rubber outsoles provide traction and flexibility as you move. I increased the size from now because sandals like this fit for a long time. Now they sit tight and will probably last a year or two because they will last as long as your legs grow. I am pleased that they are combined with both elegant and casual clothing. I have a dark brown with a slight chestnut tint.
