I love this stainless steel range and think I will be using it for years to come. I heat butter (for popcorn, mashed potatoes, many other recipes), milk mainly for coffee and chocolate (for dipping strawberries/fruit, add to coffee, pour over popcorn, etc.). I used to only use a small saucepan, but I always ended up boiling over and burning from the constant stirring. This pan gives me some wiggle room as I can step back a minute or two and then return to a perfectly heated or melted product. This replaces using a steamer with water underneath, which you still have to stir constantly. So far this pan has helped me a lot in the kitchen as I can do other things than just watch and stir.
