I was hoping this would be a good experience for my daughter and her hamster. It was a Santa Claus gift put together by me and my 9 year old. The spinning wheel mount's thin plastic broke under very little pressure before we could complete the installation. I was able to glue it on with superglue and get it working without too much trouble. Within a few hours of use, there were black poop pellets all around the case, top and bottom outside. There must be some kind of trigger for the brown note spinning and spiraling sliding. It was everywhere and fast. We left the original wrapper in the same size foil baking pan to absorb the poop and it worked. However, this adaptation allows the feces to fly in all directions. It's impossible to contain the substantial amount of feces that erupts from this tiny creature and is flung through the air by the spinning wheel. It looks cool once assembled, but not worth the constant cleaning and obvious disgust.
