These are great for use in a fiber laser engraver - you can create deep engravings that look fantastic. They have a protective film to protect against scratches during shipping. The hole is too small for a typical key ring and this hole is difficult to enlarge because it is so close to the edge - if you drill in the center it will reach the edge, if you try to drill from the edge the will Drills go to the center of the hole. I gave it 5 stars because they're probably for another use, like pipe labels or something else with twisted wire that fits in a hole. , but since I haven't been able to find any other inexpensive brass "keyring" blanks for my engraver, I'm trying to use these until I find something with slightly better dimensions to keep on my keychain. I will buy more until I find something more suitable for my engraver.
