I bought them on May 27th so I started wearing them in early June when they arrived. Since then I've been wearing them about 28 hours a week. Predominantly short non-soft carpets and concrete walkways (mostly in dry, cool weather). Initially, these shoes were quite comfortable. The bumpy butt type of massage, especially while walking. I don't run very often, but I walk fast all the time. It's kind of a habit. The memory foam is quite soft, especially in the areas on the feet where the weight is less pressing on it. It still is, and that's what I like best. However, my legs started to hurt at the end of September and it has only gotten worse since then. I don't wear other shoes until my shoes are worn out. Now I have to buy new shoes. Literally after 1-2 hours my legs started to hurt. I will not buy them again because I need shoes that last longer than this one. I have had $20 worth of Champion brand shoes from Payless Shoesource for the past 6 months and paid $52.99 for these shoes which only lasted 4 months. I wanted to get away from Champion quality by paying more and choosing a brand I once loved for their durable shoes. But maybe I'll give sketchers another chance by choosing a different style. You can't judge a company by its product alone. You should check yours. Support. .Yes, that was a bad pun. Excuse me. Two more things to add: First, there is a high risk of slipping on wet surfaces like white stripes on crosswalks and wet parking lots once those ridges have worn down like an eraser. I've almost lost my footing a couple of times and that says a lot because I have good balance and watch my footing. Second, inside the shoe, they are just as worn down as the Champion shoes, which is the cause of my foot. Pain. The outsole sags in places, made worse by wear and tear on the outside roughness of the ground, and in places it wears away, creating holes, exposing a hard, shell-like interior that lies just beneath the memory foam hidden. After trying three different brands, I found that anything with memory foam would have such a tough shell. Given that the memory foam doesn't last long over time due to a 135lb body weight, I conclude this is the same for all brands. And that's unfortunate because I love memory foam. But until it's fixed so it doesn't break down like cotton candy, and the shoes are filled with layers of different foams, I guess I'll soon be down the path of non-memory foam shoes and wearing some sort of gel insole.
