Whatever they say about particle size filtration, I find the price of a post-filter outrageous. I feel like the pre-filter and media in the actual tanks should do most of the work. Pre and post filters are optional in this system. Given the high cost of the main unit, the pre- and post-filters should provide the minimum system efficiency. If the application only corresponds to the size of the tanks, no pre- and post-filters are required anyway. I admit that UV light is an added bonus to any system. Considering the cost of their huge tanks (the tank is mounted on top of the second tank) this should be an all in one unit with access to periodically add a cleaner and backwash system.
