I have had this case since launch and am very happy with it. The leather is quite thin, but it's real high quality leather stretched over a VERY thin plastic structure that snaps in place and slides securely over the phone. After just a few weeks it's already showing signs of wear (I'm not careful with my phone and I carry a pocket knife in the same pocket). The color is a pleasant muted mustard, not too bright. as I was initially concerned. It's a soft yellow, if you will. It feels good in the hand and is naturally hygroscopic due to the nature of the material, so it still fits tightly even with slightly sweaty hands. Here, too, it feels warm thanks to the material. YES, this is an expensive case, but if for any reason it was damaged beyond repair I would buy it again. I've spent $80 on three or four different phones in the past, but this one is perfect now. If you're looking for a slim case that feels right for you, then this is it. hands down
