They help reduce clutter on your laptop desk. Too many laptops only have cables on the side. Since most cables are straight, this means a lot of work space is wasted with the cable socket sticking out the side of your laptop. Use them along with the rectangular USB, Ethernet, and power ports to tidy up side access to your laptop. Secure the Velcro firmly around your kit and they stay in place fairly snugly for relatively quick on and off. This is the only brand that also sells and allows you to choose either hand. The quality is excellent, the connections are tight.
