I am recovering from eye surgery and want to keep this eye closed and shaded during the day otherwise I have to close it to block out the light that makes me squint. This soft eye patch has worked very well for me so far. PROS: The adjustable strap means I can keep it tight enough to stay in place without being so tight that it irritates my skin. The very soft material allows me to open and close my eyes comfortably, although the bandage touches my eyelid a little. The flat surface allows me to wear it comfortably with my glasses. CONS: If your eyes are very sensitive, even a light touch on the eyelid or eyelashes can be uncomfortable. Tips: (1) Loosen the adjustable strap as much as possible. to reduce eye strain. (2) Be careful not to wear the patch backwards - the straps are closer to the "top". (3) Place the adjustable side of the strap close to your ear. The patch is reversible, so flip it as needed. I first tried the "concave" eye patch from the drugstore which was fine for hours. But the elastic was very tight - the elastic and the edges of the patch irritated the skin. Also, the "concave" pad is tapered and will not fit glasses. Also, the conical shape looks weird. This silk patch looks much better.
