Review on ๐Ÿ” Enhanced Engine Performance: Discover the New Leak Down Tester TU-21 for Accurate Cylinder Leak Detection and Engine Compression Testing by Ron Damndjperiod

The tester will quickly identify all types of head gasket failure

OEM makes a large line of inexpensive, reasonably well made, and fairly accurate tools for do-it-yourself auto mechanics. Your Cylinder Leak Tester is no exception. This tester has two different connections: intake air and exhaust air to the cylinder. The inlet connects to your factory 90-100psi air compressor with NPR quick disconnects, and the outlet connects to the cylinder under test with a special test hose. The test hose has a 14mm male thread to screw into the spark plug hole (hand tight only) and an NPR quick connector to connect to the tester's outlet port. Disconnect the test tube to quickly calibrate the tester, then reconnect the test tube and you'll see and hear the results instantly. Leave the ignition off. You may need to manually crank the engine with a wrench to bring the cylinder under test to top dead center on its compression stroke so both valves are closed and the "healthy cylinder" should not allow high pressure air through the spark. cork hole. Under these test conditions, a blown cylinder head gasket allows high pressure air to enter one or both of the coolant or oil passages. This can cause the coolant expansion tanks to overflow. Compressed air can seep (and whistle?) through the oil filler cap and/or air/oil separator. This tester can easily detect a blown head gasket that a compression test would completely miss.
