Review on πŸͺ’ Edwin Jagger Porcelain Black Shaving Bowl: Stylish Design with Convenient Handle by Tina Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stable but not heavy enough for my taste.

I was a bit disappointed with the weight of this soap dish. My grandfather once had one that he could use to beat up the bad guys and it was still a good shaving cream container. Edwin Jagger makes some lovely, high quality products, but to my liking the china needs to be a little heavier and thicker to provide some peace of mind when using some heavy-handled brushes (stainless steel etc). This particular mug works. decent for soap but it really shines when used with a good shaving cream in a tube (and maybe some glycerin). It transfers heat quite well, being a bit thinner than its competitors in this price range, and will keep your foam nice and warm between passes. I also use it when cleaning my razor and blade after a shave as the underside can hold enough alcohol to coat the blade and head of the razor without litter build up at the end. The handle provides a secure grip, even for wet hands, when re-slapping and dampening the foam after the first pass, which is significantly thicker than any other part of the mug. This heavy handle helps balance the cup's weight, making it more comfortable to hold for minutes while still producing great foam. more than enough for a good shaving mug.
