Review on πŸ› οΈ Pit Posse PP2740 Tool Bag Carrying Case: Honda Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki Compatible - 5 Year Warranty! by Don Leblanc

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but be warned - it's a lot bigger than it looks

This is a nice sturdy tool case with a nice velcro strap to keep it closed and it's a great price. However, I only bought it to replace the little pouch that came with my bike's factory "emergency" tool kit - you know, the ones in the tiny plastic pouch that was embossed with "Honda", "" Suzuki" or whatever, they always completely disintegrate in a year or two, leaving you with a handful of scattered, expensive bits and pieces that you'd like to keep on your bike if possible - and Pit Posse's toolbox is too big for that. Very large. I went from a 2.5β€³, 6β€³ long tool chain that could be neatly tucked away in a stash under the seat, to a 5β€³, 10β€³ long tool chain that had to be buckled on top of the seat. All that extra size comes from the oversized bag itself, combined with the extra spare spark plug and small set of allen keys, and now there really isn't enough room on the bike to leave them undiscovered. These compact tools barely protrude from the slots in the bag, and the added length/girth of the resulting kit is mostly air and nylon. Add to that an elongated 9" x 5" zippered pocket that shouldn't be folded, and I'm forced to contend with a nearly 12" pocket with almost nothing in it. (which isn't usually the case) I would look for something smaller to store them. Make no mistake, my problems aren't Pit Posse's fault. For storing magazine sized tools in the trunk of your car (or maybe even the top trunk of a touring bike) this reel would be great. This is likely to be a 5 star product if purchased with these caveats in mind. I'll just continue my search for something much smaller to replace my factory case (if anyone has any suggestions please post a comment) and I'll no doubt find a better use for my beautiful new Pit Posse Tool Roll.
