Great budget drawers

Great price for a simple upgrade to my motorhome. I have used them to replace horribly outdated and even slightly corroded/punched linkages on my RV bus. I took the old ones off and sprayed the area with wood cleaner, then went back and rubbed the area, removing any stains from the previous units and also tried blowing up the wood if there were dents from the old bars. Then simply insert new blocks and you're done. Screw length wise, I had to use longer drawer screws. They seemed to be working fine. I just took the old link, screwed in a new screw so deep that I wanted to break it and use it, and using the old link as leverage, pushed it with my hand to break it. Then I threw the old combination in the trash. If you plan to reuse old ones, I don't recommend this method of shortening a screw. I ran into a situation where I had one closet door at a slight angle from another in a bathroom on wheels. I realized that the two new handles stuck out too far and didn't allow opening another cabinet. I found a solution: I took the crank and unscrewed the hex bolt from each pin on the new linkage, essentially freeing them from the crank. I then sanded them down to reduce the length of both rods and also sanded the screw head dial that holds the pin as it needs to go deeper into the rod pin. The pin has a countersunk hole into which a screw is inserted to secure the pin. I ended up reducing the length of the pin and screwing in the screw, resulting in a shorter protruding handle. It may seem confusing, but once you take the new train apart, you'll quickly see what I mean. I installed shorter handles and it worked. I can't even say they are shorter. When you grab them, it's noticeable but not offensive.
