Let's get to all the crazy reviews. If you're a pro and need a portable white background, this is perfect. You photograph the background two levels brighter so that it is pure white. If you are a "natural light photographer" you will see background detail, you will not have pure white and leave a bad review. No, it's not as bright as paper or vinyl, but if you know what you're doing and want a pure white, you can easily achieve it in any light. Mine wasn't warped, but if it was I wouldn't care because it's just a background and doesn't lie flat on the floor like muslin. The warping doesn't change anything because you're shooting, and when you're using a lens with 50 compression or higher, who cares! This is not visible in the photo, especially since there is no pattern. Mine was wrinkled and the material is almost like spandex or thick pantyhose and it just stretches. But then again, if it was crumpled, it doesn't matter if you shoot correctly. Use light on the white side, don't use light on the black side and you don't have to worry. As for the comments you can see through: Learn to Rock! You're exposing yourself to natural light, so naturally you're seeing light through, it's subtle. Increase shutter speed and/or aperture and exposure for studio lighting, not ambient light. Learn how to fold it, it's easy once you get the hang of it. This is a great product and I see no reason to spend more than I have spent on this product. It matches my high end folding backs, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave different names to the same things. This is much better than carrying around a background system and a roll of vinyl or paper. If you want the floor to be white, you will need vinyl or paper. If you're doing business portraits then that's no problem, a clamp and a light stand and you're done. Check out my photo and where I recently had to use it. This is a real estate agent's home that was hit by a tornado. He wanted a business portrait and photos of his home. I installed it in the middle of a mess and it worked flawlessly. I didn't have to carry around a background system and paper/vinyl.
