My husband spilled an unknown greasy substance on his nubuck van. I followed the directions on the bottle which included spraying the nubuck until wet, brushing and wiping with a soft cloth. You have to use a "horsehair brush" to clean the wet surface, which I didn't have (and isn't part of the spray), so I used one of the clean hubbeard brushes (hey, he was the one soiling the shoes did , but I cleaned it up in the end, so I felt justified). I let the shoe dry and brushed the nubuck again to restore the texture. Worked great! The spots are gone. Please note that for both shoes you will need to paint over the entire leather as this material discolours very little. I did both shoes and they came out nice and clean like new. This stuff was a lot cheaper than other suede cleaners and even smelled good for the win.
