Review on Cabelas Top Shot Elite Firearm Controller by Brandon Roberts

I'm starting this review by not using this gun as intended, but it works exactly as I hoped it would! First person shooter (mainly DOOM 2016). I was looking for a light weapon for PC but none of them fit my needs except this one. Basically, I was looking for a gun-shaped controller that would make me feel like I was playing an arcade game. This gun does. It has two joysticks like a regular controller (one to move, one to look) plus START, BACK, X, Y, B, A, plus pad, pump reload and trigger for shooting. This gun comes with a motion tracking pad like the Wii, but I don't use it. This gun connects instantly to my PC-connected Xbox 360 wireless adapter and my computer recognizes the gun as a regular Xbox 360 controller, making gaming as easy as plug and play. However. I had to deduct a star. This weapon doesn't have all the buttons of a regular controller, so you won't be able to map all the functions you might need. Another oddity is that the left stick controls appearance and the right stick controls movement, which is the opposite of a regular controller. So you can use plug and play, but it's very inconvenient. Instead, I use a joystick and map the weapon controls exactly how I want them. It made FPS games MUCH BETTER. I'm still getting used to it because it's a lot bulkier than a regular Xbox 360 controller, but now I'm totally addicted to shooters because having an actual gun takes things to a whole new level. This weapon should work with any PC. If you have a wireless adapter and any game, you can set up a joystick so that this weapon emulates your mouse and keyboard. One last thing, as much fun as this weapon is to use, I do not recommend using it online. you will go broke Also, play campaigns on easy mode as you will be shot at much more often. However, if you are looking for a PC weapon for FPS games, this is what you need. I can't wait to play DOOM on another level! (Product works great, FYI. I didn't remove a star because it's defective or anything. It does everything it's supposed to. Dropped the star because it doesn't have all the triggers that the 360 controller has, so you lose some functionality and the left and right sticks are the opposite of what they normally should be The gun is well built and feels good, doesn't feel cheap and I've had absolutely no problems connecting it to my PC and to play instantly. It stays connected the whole time and I didn't have any weird fiddly experiences. Works just like a regular Xbox 360 controller plugged into your PC, but it's shaped like a gun!)
