When I bought these I first rinsed them, dried them and put them aside until I had time for a more thorough cleaning and didn't use them. I washed them twice. I rinse them with vinegar as directed in the instructions. I dried them off with a clean towel. And I put them on the stovetop over low/medium heat with some coconut oil. I waited for my hands to rise a bit before adding the coconut oil. I didn't show a picture of the big maple syrup pan, but not as bad as this one. But with this one, I'm worried about whether it's safe to eat from. I tried cleaning it several times before posting anything about it because I figured if I soaked it in soapy water it would come out clean and it wouldn't get anything but a little lighter. I'd really like to know if it's safe to continue using this in production and of course I can't give a positive review. I couldn't find any way to contact the company other than to leave a review.
