The sound is fine. I love how small the speaker is and how easy it is to connect it to an iPad, laptop or even a phone without any extra cables. (It comes with a charging cable, but any micro-USB/Android cable will do.) There's a power button on the bottom of the speaker that you can use to turn it on and off. If I were designing it, I would have preferred rocker buttons on the speaker to increase or decrease the volume (instead you have to control the volume on your actual device it's connected to). And I would do away with the power button and want it to turn on when connected to a device and turn off automatically when disconnected. At the very least, it should turn itself off when idle, like Bluetooth headphones do. I forgot to turn them off and when I looked at them a day later they were still on.
