I rushed out of a gas station one day and ended up leaving my usable gas cap on the back of the bumper as I drove away. Well, I never saw that beautiful gas cap again and decided to ride without a gas cap for a few days. I get a terrible 9-10 mpg in my Chevy Tahoe with no gas cap. I needed a cheap replacement that wasn't too fancy just in case I left the bumper cover on and drove away. This cap is just right. It fits 2004 Chevy Tahoe 4.8L LS, but the key and lock could work together more smoothly. In order for the cap to work, you must insert the keys correctly and wiggle the cap without accidentally moving it. I would not buy this lid again, instead I would spend more and get a better one that opens and closes easily.
