I really can't say anything bad about this controller. It just works and works well. I've never used a real N64 controller, so I can't compare them. This controller feels very light but not flimsy. The plastic buttons work well but can rattle a bit in their mounting holes. I didn't notice any weird problems with the joystick or the hat; both seem to work as intended. I use this controller for my Raspberry Pi Game Center with RetroPie installed. I confess that it took me two days to figure out how to get this controller to work with the N64 emulator. On current software versions, the N64 emulator Mupen64 doesn't seem to display the buttons correctly (or just differently) than the Emulation Station front end. The workaround is to just set up the controller in Emulation Station as usual, then you need to edit the controller config file in the Mupen64plus config directory to map the buttons correctly and change the controller setup mode to "Full Manual". Once this is done, everything works beautifully. None of these issues have anything to do with the quality or features of the controller itself, so I can say that overall I'm very happy with it.
