Review on Dorman 697 706 GM Differential Cover: Ultimate Protection for Your Vehicle's Gears by Daniel Ogbebor

I bought this for my 2000 GMC Yukon Denali as the previous diff cover was rusted and leaking. I ordered this, a Felpro gasket (Fel-Pro Rear Axle Case Gasket RDS55028-1) and 4 liters of differential oil (Mobil 1 104361 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 quart (2 pack)). I ended up using just over 2 liters of diff fluid, but it's always nice to have more. I used RTV (JB Weld 31314 High Temperature RTV Silicone Sealant & Sealant – Red – 3 oz)) to seal the gasket and Loctite (Loctite Heavy Duty Threadlocker, 0.2 oz, blue 242, single) on the filler cap, but Haven't seen any leaks yet, and believe me I've searched after reading other reviews. You have to paint it (I bought a can of primer, red spray paint and NAPA and it came out great). By the way, the gas cap is a T-50 hex bit, which should save you the annoying tool box. Edit: Almost two years after installation, this diff cover is still holding up well.
