I use it specifically for cockatiel vet visits and with a small perch the comb feathers on top of my head stick out. I wouldn't sleep at all, but it keeps him from stepping on poop, which is a plus. It measures approximately 16 1/4 inches long, 10 inches wide and 9 inches high. The door opens from the top as seen in the photo and since he's a pilot it's quite difficult to get to him (he's claustrophobic I think). It would be better for me if they made doors like this on the sides of the cage considering how small it is already. Another problem I have is the small "grooves" in the bottom. slightly stronger as they tend to "get stuck" between that edge and the ground itself. It has some poo on it so I just wipe it off when it happens to avoid this whole situation. Overall it's fine for quick vet visits and transport, but personally I'll consider something bigger for my cockatiel next time.
