I have had salt shakers with the Eiffel Tower on them for many years. Yes, they look very elegant. The slanted holes in the small, pointed lid feel large and work well with regular, fine-grain table salt. However, I have recently switched to Morton's Raw Sea Salt. These grains of salt are larger and are reluctant to fall into the holes if you hit the bottom of the shaker hard a few times. This salt tends to clump together and even adding rice doesn't loosen the grains. It's too much work with them and I'm looking for new salt shakers with really big holes. Also, keep in mind that shakers are narrow and don't hold a lot of salt, so they need to be refilled frequently.
