Review on Protective Leather Smart Case Cover For IPad 9.7 (2018/2017) & Air - Auto Wake/Sleep Flip Stand Design by Will Jenkins

UPDATED review after 2 years: Originally, I really liked this case (original 5-star review below), but after a year of fairly light use, signs of wear (fake leather flaking off) were clearly evident. The iPad rarely left our home so it wasn't squeezed in a briefcase, etc. Now, after two years, the wear is super noticeable (see photo). Sorry, but I had to take off two stars because this case didn't age well with minimal use. I switched to a Zugu case, which I absolutely love (review posted).ORIGINAL REVIEW (Late December, 2015):We have had 5 iPads so far, and used several types of cases, and this is my favorite (ok, our teenager has a nearly indestructible case, which has enabled his iPad to survive so far, so I love that one too!). Anyway, I have used this for a few weeks now, and it's soft, feels/looks like real leather and makes the iPad a pleasure to hold and use. I just scrapped a popular case that held the iPad in by the corners -- it was a chore for me to hold the iPad and it felt like I was always holding the cold, hard edge of the iPad itself. For me, this case is even better than a similar one I once had for work that was about twice the price. If you drop your iPad on a hard surface, and it lands on a corner of the iPad, this probably won't protect your device from damage. So, if you need super protection, keep on searching. However, if you want basic protection in a case that looks and feels great, this case (and price) will be tough to beat. I say, take the plunge and end your search here!
