I wanted this radio for my kitchen to listen to NPR. I can't say enough great things about this radio, the sound quality is excellent, the reception is better than I expected, the face is large and it's simple and easy to use. It is similar to the one that stood in my father's workshop many years ago. It's no frills, a good size, and gets the job done. I will buy another one for my mom who likes listening to gospel radio stations. There is only one thing I would change about this radio. This is the location of the AC input. It's on the side, which causes a bit of hassle with the cable. But that's not a deal breaker for me.
