I bought these instead of Coredy brand strips which cost twice as much for less product and I'm glad I did. I was testing my Coredy R580 and my robot kept jumping into the kitchen and I was afraid that one day my vacuum cleaner would roam the front yard. Luckily my vacuum stopped cracking in the kitchen and bathroom after I cut and glued the strips! Just make sure the shiny side is facing up and the matte side is facing the ground. I understand why it might not work for others if it's upside down. I suggest buying two sets of floorboards for a one story house, which I didn't have enough of, so I will need more. I also wish the manufacturers had included more 3M strips for mounting because what was provided wasn't enough and it's easy to ruin them! In general, it is very good that my vacuum cleaner prevented unnecessary adventures.
