Review on Fowler Electronic Micrometer 54 860 275 0 Warranty by Ans Brownlee

I was quite skeptical but for the price it works very well. Although it has a lot of cheap plastic parts, the measurements I've been able to take with it over the past few weeks have been fairly repeatable and the digital readings are easy to read. I warn you, when it's fully closed it's almost like two polished surfaces are stuck together - like it's going to stick and it's going to be difficult to open again. At one point I was worried I might break it, but a little push on the end set screw in the right direction could get it to loosen and open freely and smoothly again. I'll probably buy the next size up or two now that I've seen how well this one works.
