Nice grip Not too soft Not too hard Really looks like a metal machine Lubricated on the inside with absolutely no overlap or wobble when used as intended Not like lock nut pliers Smooth transition spring is internal and easy to modify, see below for the process setting with or without a spring. The buttons are oddly shaped and I thought they might be uncomfortable, as are the odd looking (lots of old school robots and techs talk about that too) Wera Kraftform buttons, but after using them there is no hand or bone fatigue wrist, and wire bending and gripping is easier thanks to the slightly enlarged buttons at the bottom. The middle and the thumb fit well in the grip recesses. My hand and longest finger are 7.5 inches/90mm long, in response to a CALZILA review, they can be forced fully open if you want to loosen the two locking screws against it on opposite sides (needs 2 flat head screwdrivers) there is one spring as don't worry it won't fly through there is a small round pin in the space that is loose remove - reassemble and done when the spring is removed too the pliers won't open hope this helps if you have trouble with this let me know it. I show on YouTube how the spring tension can be adjusted as needed and the pliers can stay closed which we don't use by adjusting 2 bolts even with a spring in them and still they open very easily very well done someone did A few things are taken into account when designing these tools, the inside of the jaws at the tips (10mm) is precisely cut for those slippery tips. Australia does not have an adequate selection of precision instruments. even for Chinese made tools so the price is reasonable considering the rubbish in Australia.
