This is a nice bag but definitely not the strongest of the straps, they are definitely flimsy. Definitely polyurethane, but if the hardware were matte they'd look expensive, they're bright shiny gold. If the bag was thicker and stronger I would give 5 stars. It's just the perfect size for those of us who want a big bag, but not too big. It smells like plastic, but nothing critical. I think it will disappear when the bag is full. All in all not a deal for the money, about what you expect for the money. I bought handbag scarves to tie in to reduce the somewhat cheap look. I will update the rating after adding my scarves and daily use. This is the bag pictured.
