A few years ago my wife had a neck surgery with screws and an implanted device, cervical fusion of two vertebrae. This area of Pennsylvania is very sensitive to cooler, colder temperatures during the winter. She tried many things and scarves, including one with a battery-powered heater. A thermal van scarf with a small hand warmer is by far the most comfortable and effective solution. This is exactly what we need when we go outside in winter. My wife really liked her (black) thermal fur scarf that I gave her last year. She used it at home during the cool hours and mostly when going outside on cold days. We love to shop for hand warmers and keep a good stock of hand warmers. This fall we couldn't find her scarf. It was unacceptable to leave without him. It got us both thinking and appreciating, and what we missed more. I quickly ordered another one.
