immediately noticed a difference in taste and a clearer color. fits my SAMSUNG perfectly with a little extra twist. 3 cost HALF what ONE would cost at Lowes. My ice cream maker got an odd taste, so I knew it was time. I don't think I need to swap every 3 months but at least 2-3 times a year as an individual. I poured a pitcher of water before drinking and didn't read this on this filter, but remember the installation instructions for SAMSUNG brand filters.
