Review on Xbox 360 Rock Band Midi PRO Adapter by Choice Maynard

Good price, arrived quickly and definitely works as intended on my Yamaha dtx500 electronic kit and Rock Band 3 on Xbox360. Out of the box it was pretty easy "plug and play", the only small change I had to make (using the dtx interface) was I had to change the midi note value for one of the cymbals in order to do that I had a working 'green' panel.. Pretty basic otherwise. So I'm giving this product 5 stars. Oddly enough, even though it arrived in sealed packaging, was it sticky? The rubber top surface was very sticky and exuded a very unpleasant lingering odor 10 minutes of alcohol and cotton swabs didn't solve anything but it still smells a bit bad and now the top part of the face looks really dry but otherwise works great so will continue to use as intended. I'm wondering if this was due to the age of the product and how it was stored? Who knows.
