I bought this bell to replace one I bought a few years ago. Two young children were fascinated by this amazing looking device which meant it was picked up a lot and dropped a lot. To be honest the block I replaced still works on one half. So I use it to this day. The call can be heard well from several rooms. I love that I can track the cooking, baking or rising times of two dishes at the same time on the same device and I won't hesitate to change it back if needed. the only one of its kind that I have seen
