As the material is new it definitely needs to be loosened up to be more flexible, but I think that will do). it does wear out more over time.I can't comment on the waterproofing so I'll save that for a possible upgrade.The velcro straps on my wrists allow me to squeeze them tightly to keep them from dangling It's a good fit and finish .Although I haven't tested it outdoors it seems like it won't be very cool in hot summer weather (I WILL test this weekend with a 105° temperature index which we heard in Florida last week) If all goes well, I will be ordering 2 more colors to switch back from time to time, I don't have a large waist so I can say for me it fits me except for the sleeve length.
