My hair takes a long time to straighten with a flat iron, but no time with this amazing straightening brush! I have a lot of hot tools and this is definitely my new favorite. My hair is naturally frizzy and this smoothed out every strand. As advertised, they didn't feel hot, and I love the convenience of the swivel cord. I gave it a little time to heat up, but it was probably done in a few seconds and I was able to adjust the temperature over time. I have long hair but this would be great for shorter hair too. It really didn't take me long to straighten my curls and I think it would only take a few minutes for shoulder length or shorter hair.
