Decent skillet but screws lost

As for some of the other comments on this pan, I totally agree that the skillet screws that came with the kit are not of the quality you have on yours Auto install (see below). The pan itself appears to be well made and there really isn't any noticeable difference between it and the OEM part. The pan bolt holes weren't exactly 100% centered compared to the holes on the gearbox, but I guess the OEM part doesn't fit either (it went ahead anyway and fitted fine). When I got the new oil pan, I installed the new oil pan bolts and hand tightened them. I started spinning them specifically. and noticed that the teeth in the torx head of the new bolts were starting to loosen because the "socket" wasn't deep enough and the metal was soft. The same was true for the next two. Once I saw that, I replaced all the new bolts with the old ones one at a time, then torqued them to specification. without stripping or breakage problems. I'm not usually one to take shortcuts like this, but the old, used pan screws are of a much better quality than the new ones that come with this kit. I didn't want to screw in new ones, pull them off, or break them just to take them off again. I also wasn't comfortable with the new filler plug it came with for fear of the same issue. Overall the sump is great value compared to others but I am planning on buying OEM sump bolts/filler plugs or reusing the old one. Of which maintenance: 2015 Ram 1500 reg. no.
