I make cotton candy and often bring some as a little surprise for people when I visit. I had really big bags but they felt like a nuisance overall. These are very appropriately snack sized bags.With that said, they're cheap. Bottom line is they won't really hold anything with a decent weight and definitely need to be handled delicately. Particularly where the opening and seam meet is very weak and tears a lot when I'm trying to use them. I've also tried to use them for dog treats and trail mix but only had minor problems with the bags tearing when doing so. It's a cheap set of bags, not great, but not bad for the money
