Review on Vertx Standard Glove Ranger MEDIUM Men's Accessories by Scott Wallace

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exceeds all expectations

I bought these a few months ago, I'm outdoors a lot and decided I needed good gloves for this. Before that I had some fake airsoft gloves that held up pretty well because they were cheap and low quality but ended up doing little good other than not tearing my hands. After that I bought some gloves from my local 5.11 store in hopes of an upgrade, but they still didn't work as well as I would like and I just wanted a reliable pair of gloves. These gloves were amazing in terms of functionality. and durability I've had my eye on the prices for a while as I was willing to spend some money as they don't exactly come cheap when it comes to gloves and I would have no hesitation in saying that these are the best outdoor gloves out there market are. . Places like 5.11, Mechanix, Outdoor Research and more just get crushed by these Vertx gloves and to be honest I hadn't even heard of Vertx before. Moving logs, chopping a lot of wood, moving hot metals and building fires, and other weird scenarios that I'm sure I forgot to mention, but the bottom line is, if you need a glove to do it all, this is the glove to go with which you win. Fire retardant, waterproof, breathable and warm when needed, they really have it all covered, I have no problem using them in the summer and I'm sure I won't have any problems in the winter. There's no loss of grip, whether they're completely wet or literally reaching for a fire, they just work without question, which is very important because I needed gloves that I could trust. When you're climbing down a cliff with a 60-pound backpack and gear, the last thing you want to worry about is whether your gloves will work when they're sweaty. Pros: Extremely durable Comfortable I have fairly large hands and bought the XL and they fit great. Fire and water resistance Good dexterity, no need to chop off fingertips to tie knots etc. Cons: Drying may take some time due to harder materials. So if you're sweaty or just working in a river expect these gloves will be wet for a while although there is no loss of grip when wet so it's just a matter of preference if you don't like wet gloves which doesn't bother me , but for some might be a minus. At the time of writing there were no other real reviews of these gloves which if you are like me might make you a bit suspicious of the actual quality but I can say with certainty that this is the real deal and the best glove is that I have. ever had. Second hand. I have the Black and once the OD Green is back in stock I will probably buy a spare pair as well, can't recommend them highly enough.
