My work: DVD player

I have read so many reviews from unsatisfied owners that I feel lucky. I bought this because I wanted something that played VHS tapes but used an HDMI connection. I have young children and millions of children's movies on VHS, but my "kids" TV was missing the Red/White/Yellow inputs for the game consoles and VCR that I was trying to connect. I didn't even think about the "Record VHS to DVD" function when I bought the device. As I plugged it in, my curious wife asked me why I'd replaced the "perfectly good" VCR. I told her about the recording feature (I thought quickly to justify my purchase) and before I plugged it in she had a stack of old family VHS tapes ready for me to burn to DVD. I started recording them and was very pleased with how easy it was and how well they came out. I have to admit that I didn't follow the manual from the start. I just put in a VHS tape and a blank recordable DVD and hit the record button. Voila! Success. In the three months I had it, I recorded dozens of videocassettes onto DVD, and the kids watched at least twice as many DVDs and VCR movies. I had no problems.
