I have used 3 spindle sizes and 2 grits on a woodworking project since purchase. I may work slower than others, but I haven't had to adjust the speed of the drill and have found that just light pressure gives very satisfactory results with a few passes. The 80 grit had a good balance of speed and removal control and left a smooth enough surface for making router templates, while the 150 grit left a very smooth finishable surface. I used as large a spindle as the curvature would allow. The cutting speed didn't kick up dust everywhere but left a nice pile near the cutting area. I saved the sanding dust and will use it to fill in the gaps in the glued project. The easiest way to tighten/loosen spindles is to tighten them first and then adjust the spindle nut while holding the chuck or spindle. An old toothbrush cleaned the sleeves and kept them in order. When I decided these were definitely Keepers, I made a storage block out of scraps. Bores for spindles and dowels for additional sockets.
