Review on Trim-Lok Weatherstrip with Rubber Locking Mechanism by Justin Sherman

With limited experience installing two piece gaskets, I ordered a one piece gasket and hook installation tool to replace the side/rear window seals on a 1967 Mercedes Benz Van (L406dg). The 100ft roll arrived in double cardboard packaging. I've read enough to know that any upholstery material exposed to the elements will shrink over time, so my goal was to cut the oversized pieces and then adjust them to size. etc. For 90 degree cuts, my favorite tools were hose cutters with a 1.5 inch blade. The 45's were made with a combination tube cutter and razor blade/construction angle. Only five windows out of nine, and I'm still not sure I've devised a "method" to block the seal. that's partly because I'm left-handed when using a right-handed tool. There were times when the right combination of added moisture, angle of attack, and traffic flow caused the pad to snap several inches forward. Progress is generally measured in half-inch increments. The product looks good in place! It replaces a fifty-year-old two-piece seal that has shriveled, faded and long since served its purpose.
