This makes installing the fans much easier than screwing everything on individually. They will work for most standard fans even if it's not a Noctua. Note that they can't be installed in tight spaces - in my NZXT H510 the top fan has a very small gap to the VRM heatsink on the motherboard and you can't install them, but you can still stretch them. I only had to use screws, but that's enough for an in-case fan. I can't confirm hearing a difference in the vibration dampening effects as I'm too lazy for A/B, but I'm sure there is a noticeable difference , when your fans start to rev up.
